Wisconsin Dells is a place of many attractions. You can go to the water parks. You could hit the theme parks. You may want to golf. A show is always an option in the dells. Maybe you prefer to check out some of the animal attractions. You may want to take a “ducks” tour and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Or maybe you’re feeling outdoorsy and want to enjoy a weekend of camping.
However, most families or individuals come to Wisconsin Dells for one reason…
Wisconsin Dells isn’t known as “The Waterpark Capital of the World” for no reason. The dells is one of the best places on earth to enjoy incredible waterslides until your heart is content. Actually, Wisconsin Dells is the best place in the world to do just that. If you want to water slide your day away – look no further than Wisconsin Dells.
Once you’re ready to experience all that “The Waterpark Capital of the World” has to offer, you’re going to need a plan. If you consider yourself an avid water slider, you’re going to want to know where the biggest, baddest, fastest and best waterslides are in Wisconsin Dells.
Well, it’s your lucky day because I have tested each and every slide in the dells. And after completing my extensive research, I have found the 5 absolute best waterslides in Wisconsin Dells.
Here they are:
Point of No Return – Noah’s Ark, America’s Largest Waterpark
A water slide that has been described as “pure terror”, the Point of No Return is not a slide for the faint of heart. One of the fastest slide in Wisconsin Dells, you’ll descend from 10 stories up in around 5 seconds. This jaw-dropping, death-defying slide can be found at Noah’s Ark Waterpark.
Zimbabwe Zipper – Kalahari Resorts Indoor Waterpark
One of the fastest indoor waterslides on planet earth; the Zimbabwe Zipper is a pipe-style spiral slide. The slide can be quite exhilarating as it reaches top speeds of over 40 miles per hour.
Durango Drop – Outdoor Waterpark, Chula Vista Resorts
The featured slide at the Lost Rios Outdoor Waterpark on the Chula Vista Resort, the Durango Drop is an exciting ride. An 8-story high slide propels individuals down on an extreme body slide while overlooking the whole resort.
Dragon’s Tail – Mt. Olympus Outdoor Waterpark
Not the steepest or the fastest slide at Mt. Olympus Outdoor Waterpark (that title belongs to the Demon’s Drop), Dragon’s Tail is the most exciting. If you’re up for an adventure, hop on the Dragon’s Tail. Standing seven stories high – this speed slide offers a few “surprises” on the way down. Watch out for the second bump!
Howlin’ Tornado – Great Wolf Lodge Indoor Waterpark
Not a speed demon like some of the other best waterslides in Wisconsin Dells, the Howlin’ Tornado is still a ride for those seeking a thrill. A ride for 2,3 or 4 passengers on a tube – the slide features a number of splashes, steep drops and quick accelerations. You’ll swirl 30 feet up the sides of this 6-story funnel before falling to a splash landing.
