The Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells has it all. When people talk about where they stayed when they were in the Dells, that statement usually includes The Kalahari. Its highway visibility shows off the massive hotel grounds including the main resort, its indoor/outdoor water park and the separated condos for large groups that want some added privacy. Everybody knows about The Kalahari — here’s why:

Accommodations

The beauty of The Kalahari is that it is not quite as “kiddy” as the rest of the resorts in Wisconsin Dells. This makes The Kalahari one of the most attractive resorts for families with older children or just a group of adults.

When it comes to the accommodations at The Kalahari, there are a large variety including:

  • Standard guest rooms & suites (8 varieties available)
  • 2 bedroom suites (8 varieties available)
  • 3-10 bedroom suites and villas (4 varieties)
  • Waterfront villas

The villas that are separated from the rest of the resort really stand out compared to most other resorts. You get your own building to yourself with up to 3 floors of living areas, recreation areas, and bedrooms. The basement has a full bar, entertainment center, fireplace and pool table. They represent the perfect opportunity to get your family all together in one place where you can have quality time, while providing everyone with their own space when needed!

Dining

There are 9 places to eat on the resort grounds: Double Cut Grill, Wisconsin Brew Pub, Great Karoo Marketplace Buffet, Ivory Coast Restaurant, Trappers Turn Dining, Sweet Hut, Upper Deck Lounge & Lanes, Java Manjaro and the water park dining areas.

For a more luxurious dining option, Double Cut is the obvious choice. Fine cuts of steak, chops, and seafood cooked over hot coals. Did we mention that the portions are jaw-dropping? Well they are.

sweet hut kalahari wisconsin dellsThe Sweet Hut holds a special place in our heart here at WisconsinDells.com. And if desserts are your thing, we think you will agree with us! Candy apples, shakes, ice cream, and chocolate covered strawberries. Something about a day spent splashing around a water park, always seems to make sweets taste better. Forget moderation and just dig in to some old fashioned goodies.
